Minnows is an attractive, neat, small park with views across the Devon countryside and separated by hedging from the Grand Western Canal. Easily accessible from the M5, it is an ideal touring centre for Devon and Somerset or for breaking a long journey. The area is ideal for cycling, walking, fishing and canoeing (own landing stage). Open for eight months of the year, it provides 59 level pitches, all with 16A electricity and hardstandings, 15 with water and waste water (2 adapted for continental units and RVs). A further 3.5 acres have been added to the park, providing space for extra larger pitches, a grass tent area, and a play area.

The village of Sampford Peverell, with two pubs, village store and post office and a farm shop, is only a half mile walk via the towpath, while Tiverton is 7.5 miles. In fact, there are 12 miles of level walking on the towpath or one can take a trip on a horse-drawn barge. The site is also on the Sustrans National Cycle Network (route 3). Tiverton Parkway railway station is less than one mile and buses run from the village to Tiverton. Coarse fishing permits for the canal are available from reception. A Caravan Club affiliated site, non-members are also very welcome. There could be some road noise from the adjacent A361.

Newspaper delivery. Play area. Bicycle hire (delivery to site). American RVs accepted (up to 36 ft, advance booking necessary). All year caravan storage. Site gates closed 20.00-07.30. WiFi throughout (charged).

Directions to Minnows Touring Caravan Park

From M5 exit 27 take A361 (Tiverton). After 600 yds. take first exit (Sampford Peverell). After 100 yds. turn right at roundabout and cross bridge over A361 to second roundabout. Go straight on and park is immediately ahead. From North Devon on A361 go to M5 exit 27 and return back up the A361 as above.
