Alan Rogers Review of Lynton Camping & Caravanning Club Site
Lynton camping & caravanning Club site looks over the stunning Exmoor coast. This peaceful and secluded site is a rural haven with beautiful views extending over the surrounding countryside and some with panoramic views across Wales.
The area around the site is a walker’s paradise, with many walks to be enjoyed directly from the site. At Lynton and Lynmouth, the South West Coast Path, Two Moors Way, Tarka Trail and Samaritans Way SW meet up, providing many more walking opportunities, including exploring the Exmoor National Park. Animal attractions include Exmoor Zoo, Coombe Martin Wildlife and Dinosaur Park or take a boat from Lynmouth Harbour and get close to nesting birds on England’s highest cliffs. The site has 105 grass or hardstanding pitches (some seasonal), most with an electric hook-up point.
Non-members are welcome and may join on-site. Please speak to site staff for details and to check pitch availability before arrival.
For days out, do not miss Watersmeet, one of Britain’s deepest river gorges. Enjoy a woodland walk and take refreshment at the National Watersmeet House. Glen Lyn Gorge, south of Lynton, offers a mix of waterfalls and pools plus a waterpower exhibition.
