Alan Rogers Review of Longbeech Camping in the Forest
Longbeech Camping in the Forest site is beautifully set amongst ancient beechwoods and abundant ferns with the famous New Forest ponies roaming freely. With its focus on the outdoors and being at one with nature, your stay in the New Forest will be a relaxed one. With direct access to the forest's many waymarked routes, Longbeech site will allow you to unwind. If you want to see local wildlife, you will not have to look too far as the horses, donkeys and deer are regular visitors to the site. The site has 200 grass pitches, some seasonal. This is a limited facility site with no toilets or showers, so your own chemical toilet is essential. Please check in at Ocknell which is a little further down the road on the right. The site has 200 grass pitches (Some seasonal). No Hook-up points.
Longbeech has direct access to beautiful heathland and forest walking trails, as well as the New Forest cycle route. A stunning short cycle ride takes you to the Deer Sanctuary at Bolderwood where a herd of fallow deer can often be spied grazing in the meadow. Just a short drive away is the tiny, but beautiful, village of Fritham with its thatched cottages, gorgeous lake and ducks and you'll find well-stocked local shop in the village of Bramshaw.
