Little Acre Holiday Park is an Adult Only site just a 15-minute drive from both the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales National Parks. The touring park is adjacent to the tranquil Lancaster Canal, ideal for dog walking and relaxing. Kendal and Kirkby Lonsdale are both about 7 miles away and accessible by bus. The good food and drink from the pub at the Crooklands Hotel, less than 100m away is always popular. The site is less than 2 miles from junction 36 of the M6 yet located in a calming rural setting, which makes it an ideal stopping off point if you are on a long North to South, South to North trip, or if you are looking for an ideal base to explore the Lake District and Yorkshire Dales. The 24 touring pitches are flat and set on hardstanding with 10amp electric hook-up point. Milnthorpe is a ten-minute drive away and has supermarkets and various takeaways. The closest shop is about 0.25 miles away and is easily accessed by walking along the canal towpath, which runs next to the site.

The area boasts a number of excellent golf courses including Kirkby Lonsdale, Kendal, Windermere and Grange. The Lancaster Canal offers superb walks up and down the tow path for exercise. The Lake District National Park has some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK and can be reached easily by car, boat or walking up the many hills for an active challenge. Just a few miles away from the site you will find Holmescales Activity Centre where you can take part in a wide range of outdoor activities including horse riding, paint balling, off-roading 4x4s, quad biking, clay pigeon shooting and archery. Trout and carp fishing at the Farleton View fly fishing lakes. The site is within walking distance from Westmorland County Showground, which attracts over 30,000 visitors per year to see livestock shows and be enticed with local produce in the food hall.

Facilities

The heated shower block has showers which take 20p's, washbasins and wc’s. Located across the canal bridge and within a two-minute walk is the Crooklands Hotel which serves food all day, while the nearby village of Endmoor has a village shop. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the site. Dogs allowed. Earliest arrival time 13.00.

Location

On the M6 from Lancaster/Penrith, exit at junction 36 and continue towards Kirkby Lonsdale. Heading along the A65, in approximately 200 yards. turn left. Look for the brown caravan symbol. Follow the road for approximately a mile and head over the bridge towards Milnthorpe B6385. Turn left and you will see the gateway into the site on your right.
