Les Rives de Vilaine is a quiet and relaxing site near Pénestin in the heart of Morbihan in Southern Brittany. The site is on the banks of the river Vilaine and near the sea. The site enjoys an ideal location three kilometres from the village of Férel and offers a range of shops, bars, and restaurants and close to many tourist spots, it is a perfect point from which you can go on excursions to discover the most beautiful tourist sites of South Brittany and the Guérande peninsula. The nearby town of Pénestin is also worth a visit, with its beautiful beaches and stunning views of the Vilaine River. The campsite is also a great base for exploring the wider region of Brittany. The city of Rennes is just a short drive away, while the stunning scenery of the Brière regional natural park is also within easy reach.

The site has 68 grass pitches for touring units, a 10/16-amp hook-up point, nine seasonal and 17 mobile homes, tents, or log cabins available to hire. The pitches are all equipped with a 10A connection and never far from one of the many water connections or the toilet block. They are separated by low hedges and tall trees, providing the necessary shade during the summer. Facilities on site are minimal, but there are a number of activities to keep the younger family members occupied whilst staying here, as there is a Children's play area with a slide and swings as well as table tennis, table football and electronic Pac man in the games room for older ones to enjoy. During the summer, there are regular food vans that visit each week, which include pizza and crepes. The campsite's also sells panni's which can be heated up at reception.

Directions to Les Rives de Vilaine

N165 Nantes-Vannes exit Barrage d'Arzal and join the D139 towards Arzal and Férel. At Barage d'Arzal GPS systems don't work well. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit and stay on D139. At the roundabout, take the 3rd exit onto D34 heading to Férel/La Roche Bernard. Turn left onto Rue de Nespy. Turn left onto Chem. du Clos des Agneaux. Turn right. Turn left onto Kercado. The site is on the right off this road.
