As the name suggests, the KNAUS Campingpark Essen-Werden is located in the ninth largest city in Germany, "Essen". This makes it a perfect starting point to explore Essen and the Ruhr area. There is quite a lot of aircraft noise due to the proximity of the airport but an ideal place to stay to explore the city. A restaurant can be found at the campsite where guests can try regional cuisine. You will also find a children's play area and table tennis on site.

Near the camping park, you have access to the S-Bahn, which takes you quickly and practically to the city centre or even to Bottrop, Bochum or Oberhausen.

Numerous museums and monuments allow you to get to know the unique history and culture of the city. Musicals and events guarantee entertainment and fun! The Baldeneysee is only a few kilometres away from the campsite and is a popular recreation area on the outskirts of the city of Essen.

A children's playground is on site, and cycling can be enjoyed nearby.
