Alan Rogers Review of Jantina Hoeve
The Jantina Hoeve campsite is on a working farm. It has only 25 pitches (80–130 sq.m), all with water and 6A electricity, and there are 12 pitches with waste water as well. They are on grassy fields, partly shaded by mature trees. From some pitches there are good views over the agricultural countryside. Jantina Hoeve is a good base to explore two of the Frisian Lakes: Tjeukemeer and Skasterryn, and for walking and cycling through this beautiful, tranquil and verdant region of the Netherlands.
For bad weather, Jantina Hoeve has a comfortable lounge with a small library and a TV. Close to the site is the interesting village of Joure and the bustling watersports resort of Sneek is only a 15 minute drive. Jantina Hoeve is an ideal site for those of seeking peace and quiet, or wishing to explore rural life in the Netherlands.
Facilities at Jantina Hoeve
One basic toilet block with preset hot showers and toilets. Communal room with TV and library. Fridge. Playing field with slide and swing. Dogs are not accepted.
Directions to Jantina Hoeve
On A6/A7 take the exit for Joure at the roundabout. At next roundabout take third exit onto the Sewei. Take third exit again at next roundabout, onto the Hollandiastraat. After a few hundred metres, turn left onto Haulstersingel. Turn right at crossing with the Jetze Veldstraweg.
