Situated just two miles from the centre of Scarborough, on the edge of the Forge Valley National Park, Jacobs Mount is well placed to meet many holiday needs. The sea and the sand are the main attractions, but this is also on the doorstep of the North York moors and the Dalby Forest Drive. In addition to caravan holiday homes and seasonal pitches in separate areas of the park, there are between 60 and 80 fully serviced touring pitches (electricity, water and a drain) on adequately spaced gravel and grass hardstandings. The site is sloping with the generally open pitches on terraced rows. There is a bar with a pleasant lounge (no children).

Bar meals and a quite extensive range of takeaways can be purchased during opening hours, which may be limited to weekends outside high season. For those with children, a family room is provided and a room for games with a TV. Amenities also include an activity centre and two play areas.

Facilities

The heated toilet block provides washbasins in cubicles with WCs, large shower cubicles and a family bathroom and baby changing facilities. Separate unisex cubicles contain WC, washbasin and shower. Basic motorhome service point. Small shop in reception for basic needs. Bar with bar meals and takeaway (weekends only outside peak season). Two play areas (CCTV monitored) for different ages. Caravan storage. No gazebo style tents allowed. Up to two dogs per pitch are accepted.

Site entrance is on the A170 Pickering-Scarborough road, 2 miles west of Scarborough (on the right as you start to drop down into the town).
