Alan Rogers Review of Camping Huttopia Les Châteaux
Huttopia les Châteaux is a well situated, wooded site on the outskirts of the small town of Bracieux, and convenient for many of the best known châteaux of the Loire valley. There are 350 pitches, 282 of which are reserved for touring. Some are grouped in blocks of four between hedges, and all have access to 6/10A electricity. Mature trees provide shade throughout most of the site. Rental accommodation includes mobile homes, chalets, Romany-style caravans and wood and canvas tents. A heated swimming pool was added in 2015.
In addition, there is a good municipal outdoor swimming pool next door. The church is immediately opposite the site and the bustling town centre with its covered outdoor markets, shops and restaurants is an easy 300 m. walk away. A central building includes a café/restaurant, tourist information and reception area. Bicycle hire is on offer and the site managers will be pleased to recommend possible routes. Of the many châteaux close at hand, Chambord and Cheverny are amongst the most celebrated.

The four toilet blocks are well spaced among the pitches, with modern, clean facilities, including those for families and accessible facilities. Motorhome services. Small shop. Bar. Snack bar/pizzeria (July/Aug). Heated indoor swimming pool. Fishing. Play area. Games/TV room and small library. Activity and entertainment programme (July/Aug). Mobile homes and tents for rent. Bicycle hire. Barbecue hire. Internet access. WiFi at café (free).
