Perfectly positioned at the foot of the Benbradagh Mountain, Hillfoot is a charmingly rustic, family-run site that captures the true essence of the Ulster countryside. This peaceful haven offers a warm, personal welcome from owner Mervyn, whose commitment to traditional hospitality is evident in the site’s well-manicured grass pitches and impeccably clean, if pleasantly quirky, facilities.  The site has 10 hardstanding pitches with level terrain and reliable electric hook-ups ensuring a comfortable stay. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times, as the site is surrounded by working farmland with sheep and cattle.

Beyond the essential amenities of the shower blocks and laundry room, campers will appreciate the communal "homely" touches, such as the small games room and a shared kitchen that encourages a friendly, social atmosphere. Its location just outside Dungiven serves as an excellent gateway for North Coast exploration; after a day spent traversing the Giant’s Causeway or the historic walls of Derry City, there is no finer pleasure than returning to the quiet solitude of Hillfoot to watch the sunset dip behind the mountains.

If you have made your pitch reservation over the phone, please ensure that payment for your stay is made in pounds sterling upon your arrival at the site. Please note that the site does not accept cheques, and there is no facility available for card payments—bookings by phone only. The site also has a CAMC C/L 5 pitch site.

The toilet block has showers, washbasins and WC’s. Waste disposal point. Chemical toilet point. Fresh water supply and rubbish bins. Laundry facilities, Small communal kitchen, Meeting area for small groups and parties. Small games room with TV. Playground, Dogs allowed. BBQ’s allowed.

From the A46 at Londonderry head towards Dungiven and Maghera. Take the Feeny exit towards B74 Dungiven. Turn left onto Foreglen Road. Continue onto Main Street. Turn left onto Ballyquin Road B68. Turn right onto Legavallon Road. Turn left to stay on Legavallon Road. Turn right to arrive at the site.
