Alan Rogers Review of Hendre Eynon Caravan & Camping Site
Hendre Eynon is a large level site on a working farm, offering plenty of space and a peaceful place for your holiday. Perfect for families, with 50 numbered perimeter pitches most with 10 amp electric hook-ups, and with the area in front left free, means there is lots of space to play. Located just 2 miles from St Davids with its magnificent cathedral, within easy reach of the Pembrokeshire Coastal Path and fine sandy beaches. The Dowrog Common Nature reserve is adjacent to the site. The rocky mass of Penberry dominates the skyline with truly breathtaking coastal views and walking beyond. The Sustrans Route 4 Celtic Trail, part of the National Cycle Network passes right by Hendre Eynon. The Puffin Shuttle bus also passes by, allowing easy access to the coastal path further up the coast

Directions to Hendre Eynon Caravan & Camping Site
You are strongly advised not to rely on Sat. Nav. You are also advised to use the following longer route because the most direct one includes a 1:6 hill at Newgale, and another steep and narrow hill at Solva. From Haverforwest take the A40 towards Fishguard, turning left at Letterson towards Mathry and then at Mathry turning south on the A487 towards St Davids, following either of the options in the route from Fishguard below. From Fishguard, leave the A487 at Croesgoch, turning right heading for the unclassified coast road, and turning left onto that road when you reach Cwmdig Water guest house and camping site. Be aware though that this provides a tricky run through the lanes if you are towing a van. Alternatively, follow the A487 right to the fringes of St Davids, turning right at the rugby club, and follow the final few instructions as above under “From Haverfordwest”. This option is recommended if towing rather than leaving the A487 at Croesgoch.
