Harz-Camp Göttingerode has been a family run campsite for over 60 years. It's location in the Harz Mountains is one of the most beautiful parts of Germany and an unforgettable experience for young and old. The Nature Park Harz with its forests and wide mountain paths offers the visitor a wide choice of hiking possibilities, and those who prefer something less energetic can delve into the cultural and historical fascination of the countryside surrounding the spa town of Bad Harzburg. If you're holidaying with a caravan, a motorhome or a tent this is the ideal site for you. Mobile caravan owners can dispose of sewage and waste-water and refill their tanks with fresh water at the service point. This service is free of charge for guests staying for two or more nights. For travellers staying for less than two nights a small fee is charged for the use of this service. Guests can also reserve one of their rentable caravans, which can be found on a separate site.
Golf, tennis, horse-riding and many other sporting activities are all available within a short distance of the camp site and during the winter months the healthy Harz Mountain air makes skiing, tobogganing or ice-skating even more enjoyable. Please note that the site only accepts payment in cash, not credit cards or debit cards.
Toilets and wash and shower facilities are situated in heated modern buildings, which also include showers and toilets for the disabled and a separate children's washroom with baby baths. Large kitchen with refrigerator, cooking plates and washing-up facilities, along with fitted washing machines and clothes-dryers. Restaurant serving typical German dishes to suit every taste. Self-service shop behind the reception area where there is a choice of drinks and ice-cream and an assortment of groceries. Outdoor swimming pool. Two playgrounds with a trampoline enclosure. Go-carts. Large sauna with swimming pool and solarium (fee applied). Exchange service for most empty gas cylinders. Sewage and waste-water service. WiFi.
The main entrance is directly on the L501 between Goslar and Bad Harzburg. Those travelling from the south on the motorway A7 from Kassel /Göttingen should take the exit road (Abfahrt) signposted "Rhüden". From Hannover in the north take the exit (Abfahrt) "Salzgitter/Goslar" and follow the road B6 until Goslar. Here take the exit "Altenau, Goslar/Oker". Drive through Oker and take the left turn signposted "Bad Harzburg" at the roundabout. The Harz-Camp is on the right hand side after approx. 2 km.Link to campsite location map on google
