Geiranger Camping enjoys a prime location in the very heart of Geiranger village, offering stunning views of the iconic Geirangerfjord and the impressive cruise ships that often anchor nearby. Situated right on the shoreline at the end of the fjord, it provides an excellent base for exploring the area's natural beauty and attractions.
The campsite can accommodate approximately 140 caravans, motorhomes, or tents, with electric hook-up points available for around 70 units. Some spaces are tight in peak season, but the scenery is unmatched. Facilities are simple but well-kept. Washing machines and tumble dryers are available for guests' use (charges may apply) and a communal kitchen is provided where guests can cook and wash dishes. A small on-site store sells basic necessities and fresh-baked rolls in the morning. For leisure, guests can hire rowing boats and pedal boats. There is also a private dock for guests bringing their own boats. Fishing in the fjord and rivers is free.
Situated in the centre of Geiranger, everything is within easy walking distance. Within a 5-minute walk, you'll find the tourist information centre, public transportation, post office, pubs, restaurants, and a grocery store. The town centre also hosts a charming art gallery, a mini-museum, and several souvenir and gift shops. The campsite is surrounded by towering mountains and cascading waterfalls, characteristic of the UNESCO World Heritage site.
