Frankenalb Camping is near Etzelwang, Bavaria. The site is hilly and has a beautiful stock of trees and shrubs. It is crossed by a stream and has direct access to a heated outdoor pool and toddler pool. The Five Rivers Cycle Route passes right by the site. Ski lift and cross-country ski trail nearby. Separate area for larger groups with campfire. The Pendolino train station can be reached on foot in about 5 minutes. By train, for example, you can reach Nuremberg in 30 minutes. Hiking opportunities on well-marked hiking trails through beautiful mixed forests and past lush meadows to nearby castles and palaces such as Neidstein Castle, which was formerly owned by Oscar winner Nicolas Cage. Climbing, horseback riding, surfing, kayaking and much more in the vicinity. The site has 140 pitches of which 40 grass ones are for touring units and have 16-amp hook-up point.

The heated toilet block has showers (charged), washbasins and wc’s. Chemical toilet point. Dish washing area. Laundry with washing machine and dryer. Heated outdoor swimming pool. Heated toddler pool. Children's play area. Dogs and BBQ’s allowed.
Directions to Frankenalb Camping
From Frankfurt, Munich and Stuttgart on the A9 take exit 49 Lauf/Hersbruck and join the B14 direction of Hersbruck and Weigendorf. At Weigendorf turn left to Etzelwang for approx. 5 km and the site is on the right off this road.
From Berlin-Munich on the A9 take exit 44 Pegnitz and join the B470 which soon changes to B85. Now continue on this to Auerbach and its junction with the St2164 and turn right to join it in the direction of Königstein. Continue onto Auerbacher Str. Turn right onto Unterer Markt. Continue onto Oberer Markt, Oberer Markt turns slightly right and becomes Sulzbacher Str. Turn right onto Badstraße. Turn right onto Nürnberger Str. Continue onto Rathausstraße. Turn right onto Dorfstraße. Turn left onto Hauptstraße. At Etzelwang turn right onto Nürnberger Straße and the site is on the left off this road.
