Alan Rogers Review
L’Océan is a member of the Flower group and can be found just 100 m. from the nearest beach, halfway down the Quiberon peninsula. There are 267 sandy pitches which are generally level and well shaded, although some sunnier pitches are also available. A selection of mobile homes and fully equipped tents are to rent. In peak season, a varied entertainment programme is on offer, including traditional Celtic folk evenings and magic shows, as well as discos and concerts. The site’s bar/restaurant,‘Ty Mouss’, is the focal point and specialises in pizzas and crêpes, as well as other light meals. In low season, these facilities are unavailable.
The nearest beach is sandy and various activities take place there, including beach volleyball and children’s games. Bicycle hire is available on site and there are miles of marked cycle tracks around the peninsula, and further afield, for example, to the prehistoric standing stones at Carnac.
Sanitary facilities provide hot showers, but are a little dated. Accessible Facilities. Laundry facilities. Motorhome services. Shop, bar/restaurant and takeaway (July/Aug). Heated outdoor swimming pool (May/September). Multisports terrain. Tennis. Bicycle hire. Canoe hire. Play area. TV/games room. Activity and entertainment programme. Mobile homes and equipped tents to rent. WiFi (charged). Charcoal barbecues are not allowed (communal available).
Leave the N165 at the Quiberon exit and head south on the D768. Continue towards St Pierre-de-Quiberon, passing through Plouharnel. Site is located at Kerhostin and is signed to the right, before St Pierre.Link to campsite location map on google
