Although shady, this well managed site has an open feel with a long stony beach frontage to the river Tarn, one of the best in the area. All the 137 touring pitches (100-150 sq.m) are level and have 10A electricity. There are also 53 mobile homes to rent. Extensive refurbishment of the site’s facilities has taken place over the last two years, with a new attractive reception, restaurant and bar area together with a large swimming pool complex. The site is ideally placed for visiting the Tarn, Jonte and Dourbie gorges, and having its own canoes, round trips of 5 and 17 km. are organised daily.

Situated at the foot of the Tarn gorges on the banks of the river, this attractive site is dominated by the ruins of the Château de Peyrelade. Bathing from the pebble beach is safe and the water is clean. For the more adventurous, rock climbing, white-water sports, hang-gliding and paragliding are available nearby. Some may prefer a day riding or just hiking in the beautiful natural surroundings. Nearby attractions include the Caves of Aven Armand, the Chaos de Montpellier, Roquefort (of cheese fame) and the pleasant town of Millau. Many of the roads along and between the Gorges are breathtaking for passengers, but worrying for drivers who may not wish to down!

Two very well equipped toilet blocks with excellent facilities for young children and accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryer. Motorhome service point. Bar, restaurant, pizzeria, takeaway (all from 15/5). A new aquapark with a 100 sq.m. children’s pool, 120 sq.m. swimming pool and whirlpool (no Bermuda shorts). Good playground. Games room. Miniclub. Activities for adults and teenagers, evening entertainment (July/Aug). Fishing. Large screen for major sporting events. WiFi over site (charged), free in bar area.

Directions to Flower Camping Caravaning de Peyrelade

Take autoroute A75 to exit 44-1 Aguessac then onto D907 (follow Gorges du Tarn signs). Site is 2 km. past Rivière-sur-Tarn, on the right. The access road is quite steep.
