An ideal stopover for those travelling the E4 coastal route, and a good base from which to explore the area, this campsite is 6 km. from the centre of this university city. It is almost adjacent to the Nydalsjön lake, which is ideal for fishing, windsurfing and bathing. There are 450 grassy pitches arranged in bays of 10-20 units, 320 with electricity (10/16A), and some are fully serviced. Outside the site, adjacent to the lake, are football pitches, an open-air swimming pool, minigolf, mini-car driving school, beach volleyball and a mini-farm. There are cycle and footpaths around the area. Umeå is also a port for ferries to Vasa in Finland (4 hrs).
