Le Cabellou Plage is a very pleasant, well-maintained site located close to Concarneau. The large, grassy pitches are divided by young hedges, all have 10A electricity and water nearby. Long extension cables may be required on some pitches. The enthusiastic owner has tastefully landscaped many areas of the site with a profusion of shrubs and flowers. A large swimming pool on site is overlooked by a terrace and bar, and the beach is just 25 m. away. An indoor swimming pool was added to the waterpark in 2020. The wide and attractive bay is ideal for canoeing and canoes are available for hire from the site. The area for mobile homes is most attractive and cars are parked in an adjacent parking area or directly on the pitches.

Le Cabellou is ideally situated for those wishing to visit Concarneau with shops, restaurants and bars and its twice-weekly market. A regular bus service is available from outside the campsite. There are plenty of walking and cycling opportunities direct from the site. Pont Aven and the cathedral city of Quimper are also within easy reach.

Facilities

One modern toilet block is bright and cheerful and provides mainly open style washbasins and preset showers. Baby room. Facilities for disabled visitors. Laundry room. Motorhome services. Shop (July/Aug). Bar with TV (July-Aug). Outdoor and indoor heated swimming pool (all season). Play area. Sea fishing. Swimming lessons (charged July-Aug.) Kayak and stand up paddleboard hire from reception. Bicycle hire. Free WiFi over part of the site, with WiFi available on the pitch for a charge. Fresh bread and pizza are available onsite in high season.

Location

Site is just south of Concarneau. Take the D783 towards Tregunc. Turn right onto Avenue Cabellou. Site is well signed from here.
