Alan Rogers Review of Ferienpark Teutoburger Wald

Under Dutch ownership, this site has about 110 touring pitches, all with 16A electricity. Just outside the main gate, there are nine fully serviced hardstanding pitches with charcoal grill, designed with motorhomes in mind. Although the site is sloping, the pitches are 110-250 sq.m. on mainly level grassy areas with some shade.

There are two large, fully fitted and equipped safari tents and two modern caravans to rent. Energy saving equipment has been installed in the toilet block for the production of hot water and the site is actively promoting good environmental practices. The famous fairytale town of Hameln (20 km) is worth a visit, especially on a Sunday for the Rattenfangerspiel.

Within walking distance is the attractive town of Barntrup with its castle and market. Only an hour’s drive by motorway brings you to the Mohensee Dam, of the famed Dambusters story of WW2.
