Durdle Door has a unique situation overlooking the Purbeck coastline with views of Portland Bill. There is public access to Lulworth Cove by the coastal path and private access to Durdle Door beach. Part of the Lulworth estate, which includes Lulworth Castle, the Children’s Farm and the Heritage Centre at Lulworth Cove, it is well managed. The park is situated partly on gently sloping grassland, and partly in woodland areas. The majority of the 425 pitches are occupied by caravan holiday homes (privately owned or 30 to let) leaving 60 for touring units, 16 with 6-16A electricity. The open touring fields are interspersed between the rows of holiday homes.

Some have views of the sea, others of the rolling Dorset countryside. The woodland area is better for smaller units. All areas have communal barbecues.

Facilities at Durdle Door Holiday Park

Two older, traditional type toilet blocks are fully equipped and a modern block at the edge of the wooded area includes some washbasins in cubicles and baby changing mat. Accessible sanitary Unit. Fully equipped laundry room. Well stocked shop including tenting accessories, off licence and gas. Attractive bar with food menu open all day (also open to the public). TV. Play area, adventure trail and play room for under 4s. Entertainment for children at various times. Mountain bike hire.

From Wool follow B3071 for West Lulworth. Continue past the Castle Inn and turn right at T-junction by the War memorial. Continue up hill and park entrance is on the brow of the hill on the left.
