The 293 level, well shaded pitches include 175 for touring with electricity (4-10A) and 22 are fully serviced. Access to some areas can be difficult for larger units due to narrow winding access roads, trees and hedges. Larger units should ask for lower numbered pitches (1-148) where access is a little easier. In high season this region is dry and hot, thus grass quickly wears off many pitches leaving just a sandy base. There are 12 special hardstanding pitches for motorhomes near the entrance. The site has a covered entertainment area and courtyard terrace.
This large, woodland holiday site is enthusiastically run by the energetic and friendly Holley family (English is spoken). The extensive and lively programme of activities in the main season includes a children’s club, plus cabaret, karaoke, disco, buffet parties and even cinema shows. Just across the lane is the river with a small beach where one can swim, boat or fish.
Facilities at Domaine de Gaujac
Toilet blocks (one heated) include accessible facilities. Washing machines and dryer. Motorhome services. Good shop (2/6-27/8). Newsagent. Bar, restaurant and takeaway/crêperie (5/5-15/9). New heated swimming, paddling pool (all season with lifeguard 5/7-15/8) and jacuzzi. Playground, sports field. Tennis. Minigolf. Communal barbecue (charcoal), on pitches only gas or electric. Dog bath and enclosed dog agility course. WiFi in bar/terrace area (free).
Directions to Domaine de Gaujac
From Alès take N110 towards Montpellier. At St Christol-les-Alès fork right on D910 towards Anduze and in Bagard, at roundabout, turn left on D246 to Boisset et Gaujac. Follow signs to site in 5 km.
