Alan Rogers Review of Dolcoed Naturist Campsite
Dolcoed is a naturist site where visitors have the choice to be either undressed or dressed, promoting a relaxed atmosphere in beautiful surroundings. The site’s gently rolling landscape provides ample space for walking and quiet reflection, whether on your own or with a dog. Wildlife enthusiasts may enjoy spotting kingfishers and otters near the lake’s edge. The site features 15 well-defined, level gravel pitches for touring caravans, each equipped with metered electric hook-ups.
Dolcoed has a variety of modern and immaculate facilities which includes the Barn which is a large social hub and weather refuge featuring a full-sized snooker table, pool table, table tennis, darts, and a lounge area with a large TV and sofa. there is a a dedicated campers kitchen equipped with a kettle, toaster, microwave, fridge/freezer, washing machine, and tumble dryer. During the warmer summer months there is a newly installed outdoor heated swimming pool with a sun deck and loungers for all to enjoy.
The local pub, Tafarn Y Talardd, is only a five-minute walk from the site. The village store and post office are a ten-minute walk away, providing newspapers, essential supplies, and highly recommended bacon and home-cooked ham. Visitors are encouraged to bring comfortable walking boots and a bicycle to make the most of the area’s many nature walks and cycling routes.
