Alan Rogers Review of Cypress Farm

With a change of ownership in 2022, Cypress Farm Touring Park has been transformed to a high standard by Seona and Tony. The site accepts tents, caravans and motorhomes. Set in an idyllic rural location, this small site provides a good base to explore the many attractions Somerset has to offer and is a relatively short distance from Weston-Super-Mare. A peaceful location, and even with the Bristol Airport flight path close by, the noise is minimal and relatively brief. On entering the coded security gate and arriving at the 15-pitch flat touring area you are welcomed by a circular hard roadway and well-maintained grass areas.

No pitches are allocated to the central grass area. Ten pitches are hard standing, and all 15 pitches have a 10amp electric supply with 10kw included in the pitch fee. This is complemented by the new clean, sanitary facilities (4 showers, 4 toilets and accessible unit) and a canopied communal area including four picnic tables, ideal for a family/group gathering. The showers are charged at £1 for 6 minutes, but the units are large enough for sharing. A singular dishwashing area, including a washing machine and a small selection of tourist brochures, completes this area of the site. WiFi is not available, but mobile telephone reception is adequate for calls/data, and TV reception is good. Dogs are allowed but must always remain on a lead. Ice packs can be frozen. It is a 20-minute walk to the nearest public house. A ten-minute drive provides access to a golf course, the nearest beach and shops.
