This beautifully laid out 180-acre site encompasses no fewer than 13 (unfenced) fishing lakes and a central watersports lake too. Not far from the M1 and the A5, Cosgrove Park offers active family holidays as well as peaceful relaxation for anglers. Motorised craft are not allowed on the main lake, but oars, paddles and sails are encouraged, with tuition available if required.

Of the 400 pitches, 350 are occupied by seasonal campers, leaving just 50 for tourers. These are pleasingly sited on the top terrace and have 10A Europlugs. Early bookings are strongly advised, especially for holiday periods.

Cosgrove Park includes many park homes in attractively planned sectors, with the seasonal units near the main lake and rivers. The restaurant/coffee shop offers a very acceptable menu at sensible prices and incorporates a separate takeaway and chippie. The shop is one of the best we have seen, stocking a wide variety of comestibles as well as newspapers, camping and games equipment and fishing paraphernalia. Likewise, the children’s playground deserves praise. The site has 24-hour security patrols and public access is strictly controlled.

Facilities at Cosgrove Park

Five toilet blocks serve the touring area, two with washing machines, dryers and washing up sinks. Two blocks with Accessible facilities. Baby room in the restaurant. Superb shop with camping and fishing sections. Excellent restaurant and coffee bar. Takeaway and fish and chips. TV in the restaurant. Heated outdoor swimming pool with a lifeguard. Large, well-equipped playground and separate football/ball games field. Dog walking field. Fishing. Watersports. Slipways. Crazy golf. Public telephone. WiFi (charged).

From A5 at Milton Keynes, take A508 towards Northampton. Turn right to Cosgrove Village and follow brown signs to site.
