Alan Rogers Review of Comfortcamping Scheldeoord
The site is situated behind the Westerschelde dyke, from where you can watch the passing sea-going ships and below the dyke one can fish from the beach. It is a good quality family site with 514 pitches including 214 for touring units. The touring pitches are pleasantly arranged in small fields and all have electricity (6-16A), water, drainage and TV aerial connection. One area is reserved for those travelling with mobility issues and this is located near one of the very well equipped toilet blocks. There are heated indoor and outdoor pools with a slide (unsupervised), both with excellent separate areas for young children.
The good club for children produces some high quality evening entertainment, and long walks can be taken along the top of the dyke. This is a superbly run, family site in a lovely position. A tour of the local area might include a visit to the Schaapskooi to learn about the history of the area or take the Blossom Route through endless fields of flowers. The area is in the part of the netherlands that enjoys the most sunshine each year, and is an important fruit producer. A member of the Ardoer group.
