Clifden Campsite and Caravan Park was established in 1983 and prides itself on its warm welcome and relaxed vibe. It's perfect for families looking for a classic camping experience. Nestled in a sheltered valley at the foot of the Twelve Ben Mountains, the campsite offers stunning scenery and a sense of peace and tranquillity. There are 42 Big hardstanding pitches with electric hook up points available and have grassy areas next to each. On the lower levels, setting up an awning next to your unit might be a bit of a tight squeeze, as there are rocks next to the pitches. You'll be surrounded by lush greenery and protected from the Atlantic winds.

The campsite provides clean and well-maintained amenities, including hot showers, laundry facilities, a small grocery shop selling the necessities needed, and fresh bread and croissants delivered daily by a local bakery. A covered dining area and a games room with a pool table provide convenient spaces for socialising and entertainment when the weather isn't on your side. Children have ample space to run around and let off steam on the campsite's spacious grounds.

While enjoying the peacefulness of the campsite, you're still within easy reach of Clifden town, Connemara National Park, Kylemore Abbey, and various outdoor activities like sea fishing, horse riding, and hiking. Directions to Clifden Campsite and Caravan Park

From Galway:
Take the N59 to Clifden. Upon arriving in Clifden take the first right after the tourist office and Whitethorn Gallery, at the topaz petrol station. Follow the N59 towards Westport. We are 2km from Clifden on the right after passing a small lake on your right.

From Westport:
Take the N59 to Clifden, 2km before Clifden take a left after the turn off to Claddaghduff (3/4 km away). Do not turn off to Claddaghduff, stay on the road to Clifden.
