Sixpenny Handley is a Saxon hilltop village with Saint Mary’s church dating back some 900 years; from the site you can hear the bells and the chimes of its clock. Church Farm, next to the village centre, offers 35 partly sheltered, level, spacious pitches including some hardstandings, all with 10A, arranged around the perimeter of two fields, plus a tent field. It is in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and the views and many walks are an absolute delight. Not forgetting the hundreds of tumuli and prehistoric remains, there are many places for the visitor to discover the delights around this junction of Dorset, Hampshire and Wiltshire. Arrivals should be after 2 pm.

Reception is well stocked with tourist infomation leaflets and timetables for local transport to Salisbury and Blandford. Maps of walks are available starting from the village and one starts from the park. Nearby attractions include the Royal Signals museum (on the bus route) and Bovington tank museum.
