The popularity of Torreilles derives mainly from its huge sandy beach and for some off-site nightlife, shopping, etc. but for smarter resorts one really needs to visit Le Barcarès or Canet a few kilometres distance in either direction. Le Trivoly (a member of the French Chadotel Group) is an 800 m. gentle stroll from the beach, in a fairly tranquil setting. In total there are 273 pitches, of which 33 are used for touring units. These are of a good size, well shaded and hedged with electricity (10/16A). The remainder are either used by tour operators or for site mobile homes to rent. It perhaps offers a rather more peaceful situation than do the other sites here.

Facilities

Four toilet blocks, although not new, provide modern facilities, including washbasins in (rather small) cabins, and were all clean and well cared for when we visited. Accessible facilities. Laundry facilities. Small shop, snack bar/restaurant and takeaway (all May-mid Sept). Heated pool (15/5-15/9) with water slide and paddling pool. Terraced restaurant. Play area. Tennis. Minigolf. Bicycle hire. Entertainment programme in high season. Gas barbecues only. WiFi throughout (charged).

Location

From A9 exit 42 (Perpignan-Nord) towards Le Barcarès for 9 km, then turn south on D81 towards Canet. After 3 km. turn left at roundabout, signed Torreilles-Plage. Site is on left, in 500 m.
