In a pleasant rural setting, la Trévillière is on the edge of the little resort town of Brétignolles. There are 200 pitches, 105 for touring, all with 10A electricity (Europlug, long leads required on some). Some are level, some sloping; all are separated by hedges or low bushes either with shade or more open.
Although just 2 km. from the nearest beach and less than 5 km. from the Plage des Dunes (one of southern Vendée’s best beaches), la Trévillière has a more laid back feel than many other sites in the area, particularly in low season. There are heated and covered swimming pools with a water slide, a small paddling pool and a large sunbathing terrace with plenty of loungers.
Overlooking the pool is the building housing the bar, snack bar, games room and reception. In the early season, the site is very quiet, becoming much livelier in July and August when there is a good range of morning activities for children, afternoon events for families and evening entertainment for all. The site has 70 mobile homes and chalets, half available to rent, but it remains very much a camping and caravanning site. There is a wide choice of activities and tourist attractions in the area if you want to get away from the beach. Les Sables d’Olonne has fashionable shops, bars and restaurants as well as discos and nightclubs.
Facilities
Three traditional unheated sanitary blocks, a little tired in parts, include showers and washbasins in cubicles, an accessible unit and a baby room with bath, shower and toilet. Laundry facilities. Bar, small shop and snack bar with takeaway (10/6-15/9). Heated indoor and outdoor pools, slide and paddling pool. Play area. Games room. Multisports court. Basketball. Minigolf. Max. 1 dog. Charcoal barbecues allowed (no electric barbecues). Bicycle hire. WiFi throughout (charged).

Brétignolles is 40 km. west of La Roche-sur-Yon on D38 coast road. From north, after St Gilles go through Brétignolles-La Sauzaie (left fork) and before Brétignolles turn left on sharp right hand bend, heading for stade municipal. Site on right in 800 m.
