Alan Rogers Review
Under new management, this picturesque and tranquil site is ideally situated for an overnight stop, and you are guaranteed a warm welcome and a pleasant stay. Formerly a Caravan Club site, it is set in the rural grounds of the Stanford Hall Estate, just a mile from the M1/M6/A14 interchange. There are 123 pitches (30 of which are seasonal), 70 on grass and 56 on hardstanding, all with 16A electricity. There are no shower or toilet facilities on the park, so your unit must be self contained. Tents are not accepted. The site experiences high levels of repeat bookings so you are advised to contact them in advance of busy weekends to avoid disappointment.
Dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead on the main site. Two designated dog walks has been established through private estate woodland. Visitors staying on site (for two nights or more) receive free admission to the grounds of Stanford Hall during normal opening times, except on certain event days. There is a small charge for admission to the house.
There are no toilets or shower facilities on site, so each unit must be totally self-contained. Tents are not accepted (trailer tents with own facilities are welcome). Motorhome services. Gas supplies. Newspapers can be ordered daily. Picnic tables. Information room. Rally field. Late arrivals area. CCTV. Security barrier.
Easy access off the M1 / M6 / A14. M1 Southbound junction 20 for Lutterworth. M1 Northbound junction 18 follow A5 north. M6 North/southbound junction 1 follow A426 for Lutterworth. A14 join M1/M6 & follow the above. Simply follow brown tourist signs for Stanford Hall.Link to campsite location map on google
