Alan Rogers Review of Captain Bluebells Farm Caravan Park

Captain Bluebells Farm Caravan Park is an adult-only, dog-friendly site, handily placed between Sutton on Sea and Chapel St, Leonards, with two pubs and the sea (Anderby Creek) within a 5-minute drive. The site caters for couples and solo caravan and motorhome guests. It has 30 grass/hardstanding pitches with electric hook-up points. The farm is steeped in history with fields of ridge and furrow dating back to Viking times. Set on 8 acres on the grounds of a Victorian farm that dates to the 1860s. It has farm animals, a rare breed flock of sheep and some more four-legged friends such as llamas, alpacas, goats, chickens, and ducks.

The facilities are modern and clean and at no extra cost. On-site are a farm shop selling jams, chutneys, honey, and fresh farm eggs produced onsite or from friends in the local area. The site does not open the farm to the public, just to guests only, and staff are on-site to ensure a good night's sleep. The site has a policy of no unnecessary noise between 10.30 pm - 7 am. This means no group chatter, music not even on low volume, etc, between these hours. So, if you prefer a livelier night, this won't be the place for you.
