Camping Neuherlingersiel is a very large campsite in Lower Saxony on the outskirts of Neuharlingersiel, a fishing village which lies on the shores of the UNESCO World Heritage Wadden Sea. Of the 1,200 small to medium size, level, grassy, undelineated pitches, 850 are for touring. Most of the touring pitches are laid out in rows amongst the statics but a few are set aside for motorhomes and tents. Metered electricity is available and some pitches are fully serviced. There are very few trees or shrubs to give shade and privacy and pitches may be a long way from the beach and site amenities.

The site is separated from the unseen sea by a tall dike which gives the site some protection in inclement weather and, from the top of the dyke, there are magnificent views over the North and Wadden Seas. Neuharlingersiel is a real fishermen’s village where not much has changed over the last few hundred years. You can enjoy its many restaurants, bars and cafés, all within walking distance of the site. There are overnight pitches for motorhomes just outside the barrier.

Location

From the junction of the A28 and A29 motorways, Oldenburg East, take A29 north for 54 km. to west of Wilhelmshaven. Take B210 northwest to Wittmund, about 17 km. then B461 to Carolinensiel. Take 16 west and follow signs to site.
