Easily accessible from the B41 Bad Kreuznach-Idar Oberstein road, Camping Nahemühle is a countryside site backing onto the Nahe river, where a weir funnels water to the Nahemühle (water mill). With 300 pitches (150 for touring units, 16A electricity), the site is level and fairly open. It is divided roughly into sections, one for groups, another for touring units and tents and an area for permanent campers. The pitches to the rear of the site, away from the passing road and railway line, are to be preferred. This low weir together with the adjoining grass area is a favourite gathering place.

Youngsters can play in the river or relax on the banks in the shade of the trees. This site is popular with groups of young people as well as tourists wishing to visit the region where wine has been produced for over 1,200 years and which is abundant in spa towns such as Bad Kreuznach and Bad Munster. Only a few kilometres to the west is Idar-Oberstein, Germany’s precious stone centre with its church in the rock and the Edelstein Strasse (precious stone route).

Directions to Campingplatz Nahemühle

Site is 20 km. west-southwest of Bad Kreuznach. Leave A1 at exit 51 and follow signs for Bad Kreuznach (west). Then pick up B41 and travel towards Idar-Oberstein as far as Monzingen where site is signed at traffic lights. Crossing railway line and turn immediately right.
