Campingpark Extertal is a well maintained site located in the Weser mountains, 20 km. west of Hameln. Many pitches here have permanent caravans but around 40 terraced pitches are reserved for tourers. All pitches have 16A electricity, water, drainage and cable TV connections. Pitches are generally grassy and of a good size. On-site amenities include a bar/snack bar, TV/games room and small shop (fresh bread available daily). There is also a small fishing lake. A range of shops and restaurants are available in the village of Extertal, to the north.
This is a popular area for cycling and walking with many routes available. Maps and guides are available at reception, and cycle hire is available locally. Hameln (or Hamlin) is, of course, best known for its Pied Piper. The town, built on the River Weser, has a delightful medieval centre and many good restaurants and shops.

Small lake (fishing). Sports field. TV/games room. Mobile homes to rent (1/4-31/10). Shop, restaurant with bar (1/4-31/10). Motorhome service point. Children’s playground. Dog shower. WiFi (free).
Location
Approaching from the north (Hameln) take the southbound B1 and then L432 to Extertal. The site is well signposted from here.
