Camping Waterhout is in the middle of the Noorderplassen near the city centre of Almere and is the gateway to Nieuwland National Park surrounded by water, nature and plenty of peace. This family site caters for the active and those who wish to have a peaceful break. The extensive waterways and cycle paths can be accessed from the site, and you can hire bikes, kayaks, and small boats from reception. The jetty has moorings for six good-sized boats (with electricity). The campsite also has a restaurant with a large sunny terrace overlooking the water where you can enjoy a drink and a snack such as pizza in a casual atmosphere.

On-site, you will find 282 pitches, of which 230 are for touring units and have a 10-amp hook-up point, and 40 are seasonal. Pitches are arranged in 3 circular areas. There are also 13 tiny wooden houses, glamping tents and lodge tents available to hire. The site is ideal for a one-night stop or for those who want to spend longer here.

Local attractions include Amsterdam, Utrecht and Amersfoort, which are easily accessible by car or public transport. You can enjoy cycling or walking through the Lepelaarsplassen and the Oostvaardersplassen. You can also swim, sail, canoe, paddle board, bird watch and fish.

Directions to Camping Waterhout

From Amsterdam on the A6 leave at exit 6 and join the N703. At the junction with the N702 turn right following signs to Noorderplassen. Follow site signs.
