Just four kilometres north of the seaside resort of Royan and on the edge of a little Charentais village, Camping Walmone has 157 pitches, many occupied by mobile homes, caravans and luxury tents for hire. Some of the 73 touring pitches are partly shaded. A covered, heated swimming pool and a paddling pool are available all season, as well as a snack bar and a small shop. There is a choice of relaxed activities for the whole family; these include Lotto and Karaoke evenings and organised meals. Reception can provide information on a variety of tourist destinations.

The nearby village of Saint Sulpice-de-Royan has a few shops and bars, whilst Royan, famous for its oysters, has a wider range of shops, bars and restaurants and a choice of beaches. Along the coast are Saint Palais-sur-Mer and Saint Georges-de-Didonne, whilst beyond Royan’s golf course is La Palmyre with its famous zoo.

Directions to Camping Walmone

The site is 24 km. west of Saintes. From A10 motorway, leave at exit 35 and follow signs for Ile de Oléron. Join D137 and then D728. Pass through La Clisse, Balanzac and Nancras. At the junction with the D733 turn south. The site is then on the right after 10 km. in the village of Jaffe.
