Alan Rogers Review
Camping Village Internazionale Firenze is set in the hills about 5 km. south of Florence. This is a well-shaded, steeply terraced site with informal touring pitches, set around the top of a hill. Although it is a very green site, the camping area is more open with two electricity pylons at the top of the hill and some noise from the busy motorway which is below and next to the site. Pitches are not delimited, so can be cramped in the hight of summer. It is often lively at night with many young people from tour groups, so steer well clear of the static accommodation. There is a small restaurant halfway up the slope of the site with a reasonable menu and a shop which sells essentials at a premium price.
When we visited previously, there were several empty buildings on the lower part of the site and some parts were looking rather tired and in need of attention. The two pools require some care, as do the sanitary facilities which are somewhat worn. It is worth checking opening dates at the start and end of the season. When we arrived in October, we found the site to be closed, despite assurances, that they would be open. We continue to list this site, purely for its location, as it is well located for visiting Florence, rather than for extended stays.

The Campsite Says...
“ ”Location
The campsite is located 1 km from the exit of the A1 “ Firenze – Impruneta”. From this point continue to Certosa and Galluzzo, taking Via Cassia and in Bottai. After the traffic light, about 200 metres, turn left into Via di Colleramole. Continue for 500 metres. For those coming from Florence (distance 5 km), an excellent point of reference is the Piazza di Porta Romana, from where you follow the signs for Galluzzo and Certosa del Galluzzo, for approximately 4 km Via Senese, past the village of Galluzzo and the Certosa Monastery before turning right into Via di Colleramole. Continue for 500 metres.
