Neat and tidy, this family owned and run site has the great advantage of direct beach access through electronically controlled gates with CCTV. The beach is of fine sand and shelves gently – super for children, with watersports and a lifeguard in season. This great beach makes up for the lack of a pool on the site and the fairly small size of the 230 pitches. All have 4A electricity and 60 are serviced with water and drainage. Some shade is provided by trees and by artificial shading. The site is contained within a rectangle and bungalows to rent are discreetly placed near reception.

A pleasant bar with a terrace is alongside the small restaurant (limited but very reasonable menu), and just across the road is a well stocked shop. The play area is modern and pleasant but the slides end on gravel or concrete so children will need supervision. There is a small range of activities and a miniclub. Everything is kept spotlessly clean. The site has many German guests as demonstrated in the German language notices around the site. If you are a beach enthusiast this could be for you, especially the beachside pitches. This is a relaxing site without the razzmatazz of the larger sites along the coast and principally car-free.

Three clean, fresh toilet blocks provide hot and cold showers (water is solar heated and free). British and squat style toilets. Accessible facilities. Washing machines. Motorhome services. Bar/restaurant and takeaway. Shop. Excellent beach. Aquarobics and aerobics (high season). Play area (supervision required).Mini Golf, Miniclub (high season). WiFi throughout (free). Fishing. Bicycle hire. Dogs are not accepted 23/5-4/9. Charcoal barbecues are not permitted.

Directions to Camping Tripesce

From S1 autostrada (free) between Livorno and Grosetto head south and take Vada exit. Site is well signed along with many others as you approach the town.
