This spacious campsite is situated in an attractive part of the Jura. The site has 180 stony and occasionally uneven pitches of varying sizes, many quite large. There are 142 for touring units, 140 have electricity (6/10A, long leads may be needed). Rock pegs are essential. Mature trees and high hedges provide pleasant shade and privacy. From just outside the entrance, a path leads steeply down to a sandy beach on the edge of a large leisure lake, the Lac de Vouglans, Alternatively, the journey can be made by car (2 km). There is no restaurant on the site, but a bar with snacks and a takeaway operates 20 m from the site entrance (seasonal). In high season events and activities are organised, many of them in the municipal ‘salle des fêtes’ on the edge of the site.

Facilities at Camping Trélachaume

Three modern toilet blocks (a long walk from some pitches) contain British style WCs, washbasins and preset showers. En-suite accessible facilities. Baby room. Washing machine, spin dryer and ironing board. Shop for basics. Gas supplies. New restaurant, bar and takeaway (2020). Large heated swimming pool, with a nice view of Lake Vouglans. Paddling pool for children. Playground (new 2020). TV room. Boules. Family entertainment (July/Aug). WiFi over part of the site (charged).

Directions to Camping Trélachaume

From the south, at the north end of the A404 motorway, continue north towards Orgelet and Lons-le-Saunier on the D31, D436, D27, and D470. Just before Charchilla go left on D301 to Maisod and follow site signs.
