Camping Terre d'Entente is beautifully situated on the banks of the Loire where there is a lovely sandy beach, as well as cycling, kayaking and sailing. Choose your route carefully as the flow can be strong. There are god cycling routes in both directions along the river and the surrounding countryside. The owners Rafael and Stephanie are helpful and speak good English. The restaurant in the village has a good menu but is only open certain hours. There is also a hotel restaurant which is very good. Some pitches overlook the Loire, with some shade from the hot sun and a short walk to the beach and the cooling river. However, they can suffer from midges so may be best avoided. The town of Saumur is beautiful with a superb market on a Saturday morning, horse riding displays in the castle and many caves to visit. The site has 77 grass/hardstanding touring pitches with 10-amp hook-up point. There are also 11 mobile homes, lodge tents and bungalows available to hire.

Directions to Camping Terre d’Entente
From the A85/E60 at junction 3 Follow signs to join the D347 towards Saumur. Before you reach the river bridge in Saumur turn right onto the D952. Continue on this road to La Croix Rouge and the site is on the left.
