Alan Rogers Review
Camping Terme Lendava forms part of an important thermal resort holiday complex, located at the meeting point of Slovenia, Hungary and Croatia. This is an all-year site with 80 grassy pitches, most with electricity connections, and eight hardstandings. Lendava is an open site with views over the vineyards, although some pitches around the edge have shade from mature trees. Campers have access to a large swimming pool complex as well as the resort’s various thermal facilities, including bathing in water with paraffin content, considered to be an effective treatment for rheumatic disorders. There are several good restaurants within the complex. Special facilities are also available for naturist bathers.
Terme Lendava is a good starting point for excursions around the Pomurje region and its locality. There is much to see here, including the Jewish synagogue, the castle, and Holy Trinity chapel (with the mummified body of the great warrior Hadik). The surrounding rolling countryside is home to some of Slovenia’s most celebrated vineyards. There are excellent footpaths and cycle trails, and the site’s managers will be pleased to recommend routes.
Two toilet blocks, one older and one a modern prefabricated unit, have open washbasins, controllable showers and communal changing. Laundry available in hotel. Shop, bar and restaurant in hotel. Swimming pool. Thermal complex with indoor and outdoor pools. Paddling pool. Play area. Entertainment programme. WiFi (charged).
Approaching from the west (Maribor) on A5 motorway, take the exit to Lendava and follow signs to the site.Link to campsite location map on google
