Camping ’t Séleantsje is located just behind the IJsselmeer dykes, which makes it an ideal base for enjoying all kinds of watersports and fishing. The site rents a variety of canoes and motorboats and it is possible to get everything you need for fishing (including the permit) 200 m. down the road. The site is divided into a section for mobile homes and one for tourers. The 36 touring pitches are on a single large field without separation or shade. The grassy pitches are level and there is access from paved roads. There are just 16 pitches with 6A electricity and 20 with electricity, water and drainage. Across the road are 18 hardstanding motorhome pitches with 10A electricity.

The Gaasterland woodland is not far away, ideal for walking and cycling. Camping ’t Séleantsje is in a small village between Stavoren and Hindeloopen, two old towns, renowned for the Friesian Elfstedentocht ice skating race. The site organises an extensive entertainment programme for the whole family at weekends and in holiday times. A comfortable café provides simple meals and drinks.

The single toilet block has open style washbasins (cold water only) and preset, hot showers (with token). Accessible Facilities. Laundry. No shop but bread to order. Café and snack bar (1/4-15/9). Motorboat and canoe hire. Bicycle hire. Full entertainment programme for children (high season). Card nights, line dancing and bingo.

Directions to Camping ’t Séleantsje

From the A6 take exit 17 for Lemmer and continue east on N359 until you can turn south towards Bakhuizen, then Warns and Molkwerum. Site is signed in Molkwerum.
