Strandbad Aga is a useful night stop near the A4/A9 and is within reach of Dresden, Leipzig and Meissen. It is situated in open countryside on the edge of a small lake, with 250 individual, fenced pitches, mostly fairly level and without shade. The 120 touring pitches all have 16A electricity – for stays of more than a couple of days, over-nighters being placed on an open area. The lake is used for swimming, boating and fishing (very popular with day visitors at weekends and with a separate naturist area) and there is a small playground on one side (close to a deep part).

Entertainment is organised in July and the friendly, enthusiastic owner is improving the facilities each year.

The sanitary building includes some family rooms, some washbasins in cabins and hot showers (on payment). Large accessible washroom. Washing machines and dryers. Motorhome services. Fresh bread available (1/4-1/11). Snack bar (15/5-30/9). Kiosk for drinks, ice creams, etc. (high season). Playground. Barbecue area. Small lake with a sandy beach used for inflatables, fishing, swimming and watersports.

Directions to Camping Strandbad Aga

Site is 8 km. north of Gera. From A4/E40 Chemnitz-Erfurt autobahn take exit 58A for Gera and Landenberg, then the B2 towards Zeitz, following Bad Köstritz signs at first, then Reichenbach and site signs. Site is on left 1 km. after passing through Reichenbach.
