Campsite Stausee Hohenfelden can be found in Hohenfelden, Thuringia, located in a woods and by a large lake/reservoir, which is the heart of the site. This large terraced site has 194 (100m2) marked-out touring pitches with plenty of shaded areas by mature trees. Electrical hook-up points (16A) are available. You will also find over 330 permanent pitches, bungalows, and holiday homes for rental. Stausee Hohenfelden is also located close to a lovely sandy beach. The staff at the reception desk are all friendly and helpful, ensuring a smooth check-in and providing valuable information during your stay.

First thing in the morning, you'll find a selection of freshly baked bread rolls available and adjacent to the site, you will find a restaurant serving various local dishes and quick bites to eat. Dog owners will appreciate the private dog field with direct access to the lake. The sanitary facilities are immaculate and well-maintained, reflecting the attention to detail throughout the campsite. The pitches are equally excellent, thanks to the hard work of the dedicated groundskeepers.

Stausee Hohenfelden is perfect for those sporty types due to the activities on offer either on site or in the region (cycling, walking, hiking, boating, fishing) and it's also possible to enjoy a swim in the lake. There is an (indoor) swimming pool with wellness facilities 700 metres from the site, and it's also a perfect base for city day trips to Erfurt, Weimar or Gera etc. Within walking distance of the campsite is a large outdoor centre with climbing, mini golf and organized hiking tours.
