Alan Rogers Review of Camping Sous Doriat
Camping Sous Doriat is a delightful small family run campsite on the outskirts of the village of Monnet-la-Ville. It is surrounded by meadows and hills and has views over the village. There are 120 good sized, level grass pitches separated by trees and shrubs with varying degrees of shade. There are 110 for touring and 80 have electricity (10A). Lac de Chalain, only 4 km. away offers a beach, lake swimming and watersports.
This excellent value site is a more peaceful alternative to the larger and livelier sites close to the Lake. There are many marked walks and cycle routes in the area.
Although the site only has a bar, there is a restaurant about 100 m. from the entrance. A well-stocked supermarket in the village is an easy five-minute stroll away. Further afield are several other lakes, waterfalls and cave, well worth exploring and Switzerland is only 55 km.

Two well-appointed toilet blocks with all necessary facilities. Accessible Facilities. Baby room. Small swimming pool (heated high sesaon). Bar/takeaway (seasonal). Play area. Boules. WiFi (free).
Directions to Camping Sous Doriat
From Lons-le-Saunier take the D471 for 23 km. Turn right to Monnet-la-Ville. Site is well signed in the village, 400 m. north on the D27E.
