Alan Rogers Review of Camping Skye Broadford
Opened in June 2018, this site has been set up as a community campsite by the local community as a non-profit making enterprise. It is a lovely modern site in an amazing location with mountain views all around, yet it is just a five-minute walk from the village.
The site consists of twenty six hardstanding pitches all with 16 amp hook-up, as well as twenty six terraced camping pitches, with a community barbecue area, all pitches have mountain views. The modern facilities block has fully accessible facilities, a laundry/drying room, toilets, and showers. The site is in a good location on the South East side off the Island making it ideal to explore Skye, including Kilt Rock, Lealt Falls and ‘The Old Man of Storr” and several local distilleries, a ferry to the Isle of Raasay is a 25 minutes drive away.
