Camping Serro da Bica is a peaceful, small-scale nature campsite located in the rolling hills of the South Alentejo region in Portugal. Tucked away near the historic town of Ourique and situated directly along the tranquil River Mira, it offers a rustic, "back-to-nature" escape that emphasises freedom, space, and quiet. The campsite is set across roughly 1.5 hectares of beautifully terraced landscapes, shaded naturally by mature cork oaks and olive trees. An intimate site featuring around 25 to 26 spacious touring pitches and 12 dedicated motorhome/camper pitches with Electrical hook-ups is available (offering optional 6-amp or 10-amp).

While the campsite embraces rustic simplicity, it does not skimp on modern essentials. There is a Cosy wooden building that acts as the social heart of the campsite. It includes a library, puzzles, and a gathering space for organised community events like weekly pizza-baking nights or communal barbecues. 

A scenic two-kilometre walking trail winds right around the property (about 45 minutes). The adjacent River Mira provides a great place to cool off, relax by the water, or spot local wildlife. Ourique is the nearest town, rich in history and famous for its local Alentejano culinary speciality, Porco Preto (Black Pork). Local cultural sites include the Castro de Cola and the Necrópole de Atalaia.

Directions to Camping Serro da Bica

From the north follow the IC1 direction of the Algarve. After 10 km south of Ourique turn right at km post 679.4 (indicated by signs, caution: short exit lane). From the south, turn right at Castro da Cola.
