Alan Rogers Review
On the edge of a lake, bordered by a small forest, this very simple campsite is part of a well laid out Parc Résidentiel de Loisirs. The camping area is at the far end of the lake. The Gross family’s impressive home also houses a reception and an elegant restaurant at the entrance. Of the 65 level touring pitches on grass, with a few mature trees to provide some shade, 40 have electricity (6/10A), and some have views over the lake to the forest beyond. A little bridge leads to an excellent adventure type play area (unfenced), tracks into the woods and a footpath around the lake.
Paths through the forest take you to the nearby town of Sarreguemines where there are shops, bars and restaurants. A supermarket can also be reached on foot via a path along the edge of the wood. Just 500 m. from the site entrance is a cycle track along the Canal de la Sarre which runs from Saarbrucken in Germany to the lakes of Gondrexange in southern Moselle. The Jardin des Faïenciers in Sarreguemines will appeal to nature lovers, and real enthusiasts could travel a few kilometres into Germany where several interesting gardens can be visited. The campsite provides information about these and many other attractions and activities.
Very basic sanitary block with free hot water to open style washbasins, controllable showers (€ 2 for 10 minutes). Room with a sink for dishwashing and one for laundry (hot water €1). Accessible Unit. Motorhome services planned. Five special cabins with private facilities should be available for hire. Bar/restaurant (Fri-Sun, all year). Adventure playground. Fishing and boat launching.
Neufgrange is just south of Sarreguemines. From A4 motorway at exit 42(Sarreguemines) take N61 north for 4 km. and turn east to Neufgrange. Site is on left.Link to campsite location map on google
