Freizeitzentrum Sägmühle is peacefully situated beside a lake, in a wooded valley in the heart of the Palatinate Nature Park, and there are many kilometres of walks to enjoy, as well as castles to explore. There are 303 pitches in total, of which 154 are available for touring, at least 80 sq.m. or more on flat grass, each with electricity (4/16A). Fifty of these are fully serviced and some have hardstanding. One area is close to the lake and it is a pleasant change to find a site that keeps the lakeside pitches for touring units.

A first class restaurant offers local and international dishes and fine local wines, and there is plenty for younger children to enjoy with fishing, swimming and boating in the lake (pedaloes for hire), a fort, minigolf and tennis.

Each area has its own sanitary facilities, which feature private cabins, baby bathroom, Accessible facilities, launderette. Motorhome services. Restaurant serving local specialities and takeaway (lunchtime and evening). Bread available in high season. Solarium. Tennis. Play areas. Boules. Minigolf. Lake fishing. Beach volleyball. Entertainment daily in high season. Guided tours for ramblers and mountain bikers. Electric barbecues are not permitted. WiFi on part of site (charged).

Directions to Camping Sägmühle

Site is 14 km. SSE of Kaiserslautern. From the A6, take exit 15 (Kaiserslautern West) onto B270 towards Pirmasens. Turn left after 9 km. towards Karlstal/Trippstadt and follow site signs.
