This site is well-maintained on the sunny gulf coast of Almeria, just 400m from a pebble beach. It's conveniently situated 9 km from the A7 motorway within easy reach of the shops and amenities of Roquetas de Mar, an old fishing village. This is a relaxed family-run site, with English spoken, and there's a willingness to help guests - ask at reception for suggestions for local walking and cycling routes, perhaps into Roquetas and Aguadulce. The site is within easy reach of the popular resort of Almeria and the Cabo de Gata nature park. At the same time, the stunning beach of Playa de Los Muertos Carboneras and the desert terrain of Desierto de Tabernas are popular excursions.
There are 731 quite small touring pitches (60 sq.m), although, during the winter months, two pitches are allocated for the price of one. Most are hard standing and have electricity (5-15A), and 65 also have water and drainage (18 of these are for longer units). Tall palm trees provide a welcome shade to many.
The restaurant is very Spanish with an extensive menu and ‘menu del dia’. Car hire can be arranged by the site and excursions are organised.
Facilities at Camping Roquetas
Five well-equipped toilet blocks are spread throughout the site. Two accessible sanitary units are close to the pools, as is a baby room. Launderette. Shop. Spanish restaurant with an excellent menu and reasonable prices. Two swimming pools, one with a paddling pool. Tennis. Pétanque. Outdoor fitness. Play area. Bike hire. Golf nearby. WiFi (free by reception).

From A7/E15 exit 429 head towards Roquetas de Mar. Site is well signed and is 9 km. from the main road.
